For Loudon Wainwright III’s visit to UK for some shows in March 2024, The Last Music Company has teamed up with StorySound Records to promote sales of YEARS IN THE MAKING.
For those of your who haven’t seen this set, throughout his career, Loudon built up a treasure trove of recordings that for one reason or another didn’t make it onto any previous commercial release. Then in late 2018, New York based StorySound Records released this collection of gems. However, due to lockdown and other factors, this may not have yet reached the eyes and ears of his UK fans.
So here in London, The Last Music Company is offering this 2CD set and book for sale as part of this unique, limited edition “bundle” - because it’s simply too good to miss.
Here’s what you get:
* the wonderful two CD set and book YEARS IN THE MAKING which contains forty-two of these off beaten tracks. This abundance of hitherto unheard Loudonia includes orphaned album cuts, live recordings, home demos and radio show clips. The book contains fifty plus pages with dozens of documents, drawings, doodles and drafts.
* a YEARS IN THE MAKING T-shirt. It is black and available in sizes S/M/L/XL/2XL/3XL/4XL/5XL
* six postcard replicas of the album cover. If you still own a pen and know where to buy a stamp you can astonish six of your friends by proving that you are still able to function normally.
